Jacks or Better is a favorite casino game of many so when we decided that we would like to review the game we were sure that we were in for a good time.  We selected the game and within seconds the interface opened and we were ready to play.  The game featured colorful graphics that appropriately enough included jacks!  Dublin Bet Casino has gone out of their way to make this video poker game a lot of fun to play, even for those who are not the most experienced players.  Many are intimidated by video poker the first time around, but this game has everything laid out in the most comprehensive manner, making it easy to understand the process.

At the bottom of the screen the player will find all of the pertinent information such as their account balance, how much they would like to bet each round, and then the all important deal button.  When the player presses the deal icon the machine deals out the cards.  The player then needs to analyze which of their cards they would like to hold onto, and they can hold the cards simply by clicking on each card until the word “hold” appears across the card.  Then the player needs to click on the deal icon again and the cards that were not on hold are replaced by new cards.

If the player has successfully built a hand, sound effects will play, and the cards will light up.  At the top of the screen the hand that has been created will light up, letting the player know exactly what they have created.  This is a great way for those that are new to poker to learn what hands can be created and how it can happen.  Winning is made even more fun by the sound effects and the graphics.

After winning the player is given the opportunity to double half of their winnings, all of their winnings, or take the winnings that they have already secured.  We were playing just .05 on each hand so we weren’t afraid to double up all of our winnings.  The game simply deals a card, face down and the player needs to determine if the card is black or red.  Of course, this is a game of chance, but it is a lot of fun, especially when you guess correctly.  Each time you guess correctly you are offered the option of again doubling or half doubling your winnings, or walking away with the winnings that you have already secured.  Again and again you need to determine if the card will be red or black.  If you win, you are able to continue as long as you would like, but if you choose wrong just once you lose all of the winnings that you have compiled.

We chose to double all of our winnings three times.  We chose black, red, and then black the final time when we lost it all!  It wasn’t a huge loss though, since we were betting the minimum.  Despite the loss, we had a good time playing and would recommend Jacks or Better to anyone that is looking for an exciting video poker game to play.
